Dennis Murphy is the principal engineer at Beetle Engineering & Automation. He holds RPEQ registration in electrical engineering - the professional registration issued by the Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland (BPEQ) that is required to sign off on significant electrical modifications and new installations under Queensland electrical safety legislation.

His engineering work spans industrial automation, PLC and SCADA systems, electrical design, and control system integration. He has worked on plant across the full range of Central Queensland industrial operations - Bowen Basin mine sites, Burdekin and Pioneer Valley sugar mills, Mackay manufacturing operations, and regional water and utilities infrastructure.

Having RPEQ sign-off available in-house means clients do not need to engage a separate certifying engineer for projects that require it. For most industrial electrical and automation projects in Queensland, RPEQ engineering is not optional - it is a compliance requirement.
